Purpose and Direction of Administrative Ministries Team

PURPOSE:  The Administrative Team serves the Waco Regional Baptist Association through responsibility for the administrative functions of the Association, including nominations, personnel, budget, properties, public relations, and general policies.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Nominate officers and ministry team members and chairs to be presented for election at the Annual Meeting and provide orientation for those elected.
  2. Consult and advise the Director on personnel matters.
  3. Prepare and present the proposed annual budget of the Association.
  4. Oversee the management of Association properties.
  5. Promote the Association through public relations initiatives.
  6. Consult with the Director on Association policies and present policies for approval to the Executive Board.

 COMPOSITION:  The Administrative Ministry Team is composed of at least twelve (12) members serving rotating three (3) year terms and is nominated by the Officers of the Association.  Ex-officio members include the Officers and the Director of the Waco Regional Baptist Association. 

 ACCOUNTABILITY:  The Administrative Team works in cooperation and consultation with the Director and is accountable to the Association.

 MEETING FREQUENCY:  The Administrative Ministry Team meets monthly or as deemed necessary by circumstances or at the request of the Director.

The Enlistment of Leaders

The Administrative Ministry Team will select  and nominate WRBA Officers and  will select and nominate all members of the Ministry Teams, Latham Springs Board Members, as deemed necessary for the Association .   These names will be presented for election at the Annual Meeting.

The Administrative Ministry Team will provide training and orientation for the major ministry teams annually and with the concurrence of the Executive Board will fill any leadership vacancies occurring between the Annual Meetings of the Association.

The Management of  Financial Issues

The Administrative Ministry Team will work  with the Director and the Financial Secretary to   prepare an annual budget necessary for carrying on the work and objectives of the     Association for the ensuing year. They will present the proposed annual budget to the   Executive Board for discussion prior to the Annual Meeting. Throughout the year the Team will work   closely with the Financial secretary to oversee the management of the annual budget, and   will be responsible for making decisions  regarding financial matters not specifically prescribed anywhere else.

  The Management of Personnel Matters

The Administrative Ministry Team will advise  and consult with the Director regarding any  personnel issues, including interviewing, hiring, evaluating and termination.  The Team will provide written job descriptions for all employees and will maintain a written Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.  The manual will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary. The Team will also make employment recommendations to the Executive Board for  approval. And recommend staff salaries and benefits for all WRBA employees. 

The Care and Management of all Properties

The Administrative Ministry Team oversees the properties held directly by the Association whether by ownership, lease, or rental and supervises the maintenance of that property and makes appropriate recommendations to the Executive Board regarding care of properties.  The Team provides financial support through the annual budget for the care and management of all properties, including the Missionary Home.

 

Public Relations Issues:

The Administrative Ministry Team is responsible for educating, promoting, and acting as a liaison between the Waco Regional Baptist Association, the churches, the community of Waco, the BGCT, SBC, and other Baptist entities.  The Team will note and celebrate historic events of the Association.  The Administrative Ministry Team will assist the Director in engaging, motivating, and educating the churches of WRBA concerning the purposes, goals and opportunities within the  Association and will encourage the   financial support of the Association by its member churches.

Administrative Policies

The Administrative Ministry Team will evaluate and consult with the Director regarding any policies or administrative procedures, making final recommendation to the Executive Board.
