Church Strengthening

PURPOSE: The Church Strengthening Team serves the Waco Regional Baptist Association by assisting churches to develop and implement a process to help them to grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and employ a specific church strengthening process lasting a maximum of five months that supports and equips the congregation, pastor, staff, and lay leadership with the intention of sustaining church growth for the following five years.   Church Strengthening Process Description
2. Approve and prioritize churches that apply to be engaged in the church strengthening process, including recommending matching funds that the Association might make available for the process.
3. Evaluate and improve the process based on results and feedback.

COMPOSITION: The Church Strengthening Team is composed of sufficient members to accomplish its work as determined by the Administrative Team.  Members serve three (3) year rotating terms.  The Officers and Director are ex-officio members of the Team.

ACCOUNTABILITY: The Church Strengthening Team works in cooperation and consultation with the Director and is accountable to the Association.

MEETING FREQUENCY: The team meets quarterly or as often as deemed necessary by circumstances or as requested by the Director.
